What Now?

Sean Patrick Hughes makes the conservative’s case for why people like me sounded the alarm against trump so loudly and so much.

Now, that he has done exactly as expected, and placed a white supremacist as one of his direct advisors, we – women, People of Color, LGBTQIAP, Muslims, Jews, disabled people, immigrants, refugees and our conservative allies who ALSO sounded the same alarm are waiting to see how many trump supporters will stand up to his hate-filled rhetoric. We have no indication that he will change, reach out to marginalized people or actually condemn the hate crimes perpetrated on his behalf. His “60 Minutes” interview inspired LESS confidence in him, not more.

As I’ve mentioned, he has about two months to learn 240 years of US and World politics, history, economics, finance and budgeting and diplomacy – at an EXPERT level.

He has spent the past eight years insulting and delegitimizing our first African-American President. Now, he will be assuming the same office, and MUST be better than President Obama.

BETTER.

He made numerous campaign promises to his supporters, who are impatient and armed. I wish him well, because failure is not an option.

Joy Ann Reid enumerated what the USA has to look forward in trumplandia on AM Joy (Saturday, November 12, 2016).
